Access to clean and safe water is a fundamental part of building healthy, resilient communities and it remains a key priority in our work at Upendo Foundation.

Recently, we undertook spring protection projects at Kakoyi, Ageng’a and Omeso, working to protect vital community water sources and improve access to clean and safe water for local residents.

These springs are more than just sources of water; By protecting them, we are helping safeguard water quality, promote healthier communities, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

At Upendo Foundation, we believe that development begins with meeting the basic needs of communities. Every protected spring is a step towards a healthier and more empowered community.

At Upendo Foundation, we believe that investing in knowledge is investing in stronger communities. That is why we take every available opportunity to equip our field officers with the skills and expertise they need to serve our communities more effectively.

Recently, our team attended the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Show at the Nakuru Showground, where they explored innovative and modern agricultural technologies, sustainable farming practices, and practical solutions that can improve food security and livelihoods.

The knowledge and experience gained will strengthen our community programs as we continue empowering farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Together, we grow, we learn, and we build resilient communities.

With the onset of the rains, Upendo Foundation stepped in to support our hardworking farmers by providing assorted seeds and fertilizers. This ensures they are ready for a productive planting season and a better harvest.

Last week, we held a powerful School Link meeting bringing together teachers from our respective partner schools under the Upendo Foundation cultural exchange program.
This initiative continues to strengthen meaningful connections between schools in Kenya and the United Kingdom, promoting cross-cultural understanding, shared learning, and global citizenship.
The focus of our discussions?
How to achieve even greater impact in 2026.
We explored:
• Enhancing virtual exchange sessions
• Creating deeper student engagement opportunities

We are excited about the roadmap ahead and the shared commitment to making 2026 our most impactful year yet.

Diving right in!
Following our planning meeting, we kicked off our first outreach of the year at St. Peter’s God Agak Secondary School, with Harambee Secondary School and Otel Mixed Secondary School also in attendance.
The day was packed with meaningful activities, from vibrant talent exhibitions to voluntary HIV/AIDS testing and counselling, creating space for both expression and informed, healthy choices among the students.
A huge thank you to AMANI UK for making this outreach possible, and sincere appreciation to the school administrations and teachers from all participating schools. Your cooperation and commitment turned plans into action.
