As we mark Jamhuri Day , I pause to honour the extraordinary journey our nation has travelled—from the struggle for independence in 1963 to becoming a proud republic one year later. This day reminds us that freedom is both a gift and a responsibility: a call to build, uplift, and serve.

At Light Foundation, our work in mentorship, empowerment, and community support is deeply connected to the spirit of Jamhuri. True independence is realised when people have the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to rise above limitation and pursue their purpose. Our commitment is to guide the youth, strengthen families, and light pathways for those in need.

Today was awesome to speak with the Students of chakareli comprehensive School, we tackled academics Wonderfully and as adolescents the elephant in the room is how to control feelings, because having feelings in the first place is Normal but now the solution to it is knowing that we have feelings but feelings don't have is so we determine what becomes of them and in so doing things as school drop out due to Early pregnancy and also fatherhood will be no more , it was my pleasure to awaken within the students that they have purpose and potential that is unlimited and it could change the world for them with the right mindset. I also got an opportunity to help them have a relationship with God by means of salvation and hearing them declare the prayer in faith was awesome. Also me giving up to count the harvest made me understand why scripture says harvest is plenty.

Today was a great day to speak with the students of Jacaranda Comprehensive school where i am an alumni ,i sat my KCPE there back in 2015 and it was a springboard for my academic journey and i was glad to offer mentorship to the students on how to make it impossible to fail in academics by building systems that enhance performance,and we also touched on issues of identity, potential and purpose, drug abuse early marriages school drop out etc and though my message was awesome i believe i spoke much by who i am ,right from. Being in the same environment they were sitting that ignition of inspiration and ambition i believe will cause a revolution

Today we were at Kirima primary school declaring the Nyandarua child can and we tackled potential, purpose , identity background and self-esteem alongside how to shine in academia, it was a wonderful session, and the question and answer time really showed the students potential they were asking relevant question and serious ones and we navigated them properly stressing that no one was born a fool , and our background should not give us an identity of retrogression but be a force to push us to acheive out goals.

We thank God that 183 students decided to be born again today.

Today at oljoroorok secondary mentoring students abt academics and other Varios issues likes peee pressure,drug and substance abuse , relationships ,mental health etc and we clearly stated its normal to feel attracted to the opposite gender but now you should be be able to know why you are in school at that moment and focus on that , relationship will come later , you have feelings, feelings dont have you. We also talked about performance that once you build systems around yourself with consistency and persistence with also discipline and focus in your academics you make it difficult to fail .

Today we were to offer mentorship at Jacaranda primary where i sat my KCPE now a comprehensive School and well the rain decided to not leave the stage as usual but to create a history once again , flooding with ice really was a spectacle,the low temperatures too . We had to postpone the session and allow nature to have an overdrive.

Today, we were privileged to speak to students from Hospital Hill Secondary School in a mentorship session. We found out that you can make it impossible to fail by being prepared. We also discussed the ingredients of preparation: motivation should give birth to discipline, consistency, and persistence. The ingredients cooked with self-belief must have a tantalizing aroma of success.

twas great grace in display as my tongue engraved precepts and lines of wisdom upon the hearts of my generation. The moment i saw them i was eager to speak because the purpose in me had got a channel to be unleashed, we thank God for the impact
