We extend our sincere appreciation to all MCDLF member DPOs for the commendable role you played in mobilizing persons with disabilities across Mombasa County for the County Assembly Speaker’s Ramadhan Feeding Programme held on 11th March 2026.

Your coordination, commitment, and dedication ensured that over 800 persons with disabilities benefited from this noble initiative. This level of impact is a clear demonstration of what we can achieve through unity, structured engagement, and a shared vision for inclusion.

As we reflect on this success, let us continue strengthening our collaboration to reach even more members of our community with meaningful support and opportunities.

Thank you once again for your invaluable contribution.

Today marks a special and memorable day for the community of persons with disabilities across Mombasa County. It is a day that not only honors the spirit and legacy of the late Hasubhai Patel, but also brings renewed joy and hope to many.
Without discrimination of disability type, religion, or background, persons with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities came together to benefit from a generous act of compassion. The Speaker of the Mombasa County Assembly, Hon Aharub Khatri Aharub Ebrahim Khatri, extended a charitable donation of food rations to approximately one thousand persons with disabilities.
This thoughtful gesture has brought smiles and relief to many families during this holy month of Ramadan—a time that emphasizes charity, compassion, and community solidarity. Such acts of generosity not only support vulnerable members of our society but also reflect the true spirit of Ramadan through kindness, humility, and service to humanity.
We sincerely appreciate Hon Aharub Ebrahim Khatri for his continued support and commitment to the welfare and inclusion of persons with disabilities in Mombasa County.

✨ Positive Progress for Accessibility in Ireland ✨

Yesterday , Changing Places Ireland, CLG had a very successful meeting with the Minister for Disability, Hildegarde Naughton T.D. to discuss how we can work with Government to achieve the objectives set out in the recently published National Disability Strategy.

We outlined the importance of fully accessible Changing Places facilities for people with complex disabilities and their families, ensuring dignity, inclusion, and equality.

This is a significant step forward, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with Government to make Ireland truly accessible for all. 💙
