The TACH Society Kenya TACH AFRICA

Where healing begins! T.A.C.H club(touch a child's heart) was born on October of 2013. It was the result of innovation of one young man.

The club all is about helping the young needy children so as to become future leaders and great men and women. We started at the St Marys child rescue center and are expanding rapidly. we believe that the hand that gives is more blessed than that which receives. This drives us to do what we do. We help provide kind and in-kind donations to help the young ones. We'd like to ask for your support to help build a child's life.

Real conversations. Safe spaces. Changed perspectives.

Today’s mental health outreach with the Kiaragana Community was a reminder that when young people are given the right environment, they open up, learn, and grow.

We’re on a mission to break stigma, promote awareness, and ensure no one struggles in silence.

This is an impact in action. Be part of this movement.

Sometimes, the most important conversations dont happen in classrooms. They happen here - in moments of connection, trust, and openness.

This is what our Mental Health Outreach Program is about. Creating safe spaces where young people can speak, be heard, and feel understood.

On the 22nd this month, we bring together over 100 young people to interact with psychologists and counsellors on mental health matters.

Walk with us as we bring these conversations to more spaces and more loves.

There are conversations we have avoided for too long. About what it means to struggle quietly. About the weight young people carry and don't always speak about. About mental health as a lived reality.

On April 22nd, 2026, we will be hosting a Mental health Outreach at Kiaragana PCEA Church (10am - 10pm) in Kirinyaga.

This space is open to:

- Students on school holiday (secondary level)
- Yound men and women in the community who want to understand or simply listen.

If you are a young person, come. If you know someone who. Needs this invite them.

If you would like to support this outreach, whether through resources, facilitation, or partnership, reach out to us. We are building this together, step by step.

Lots of refreshments 🥳🥳

There is a moment, just before a life takes shape, where everything is still possible.
You see it there...in the way they sit, listen, lean forward. Not distracted. Not withdrawn. Present.

They are listening and learning, but many are also carrying more than they can explain.

Starting this month, we begin our Mental Health Outreach program, bringing honest conversations on mental health into schools, churches, and community groups.

Not later, but now. Before silence turns into struggle.

We need your support to reach more students and sustain this work.

Leadership is not just about starting things. It’s about remembering why you started. Today, we met as TACH members and had honest conversations about where we are going.

Some people have wondered how we “arrived” at mental health.
The truth?
Mental health was always the destination. When TACH was first envisioned, the goal was to build a rehabilitation pathway for vulnerable children, especially those at risk of street life. At the centre of that dream was mental health care.

The feeding programs and mentorship forums we’ve done over the years were prevention. Now, we are strengthening the core.
We are building a structured, holistic mental health initiative that addresses:
• Prevention
• Early identification
• Clinical support
• Community and faith collaboration
This is growth and clarity and returning to purpose.
Conversations like this matter.

Mental health conditions affect over one billion people worldwide. Access to care is unequal, especially for children and youth.

Mental health shapes education, employment, relationships, and resilience. This is why the UN recognizes it as central to sustainable development.

We want to pause and say thank you.

Over the past few days, many of you have reached out, some quietly, some privately with encouragement, questions, and support for our mental health work.

We dont take that lightly. TACH has always been built through the trust and support you are showing.

Thank you for walking with us, in whatever way feels right for you.

Some of you have been quietly asking yourself, "Mental health matters to me, but how can I help?"

Here is the simple answer:

You dont have to do everything. You can do one small thing.

1. Share our work with someone who might need it.

2. Offer time or skills if that's your capacity

3. Support access to care if resources allow.

TACH is building mental health support slowly, ethically, and with care.

If you feel drawn to walk with us in any way, now or later, you're welcome.

Over the years, TACH has walked with children, youth, families, and communities through some of their hardest seasons.

Along the way, one truth became impossible to ignore: many of the struggles we encountered were not just economic or social, they were deeply emotional and psychological.

This evolution into mental health and psychosocial support is not a sudden shift. It is the natural outcome of listening, learning, and witnessing pain that often goes unseen and unsupported.

Mental health is not a side issue. It shapes education, relationships, resilience, and hope.

As TACH continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: to offer care with dignity, compassion, and integrity, especially to those who would otherwise go without access.

Thank you for walking this journey with us❤️

TACH has grown — and so has our work.

Touch A Child’s Heart (TACH) began with a focus on prevention, supporting children through school-based programs, mentorship, and community care. Over time, our work revealed a deeper and more urgent need: accessible mental health and psychosocial support for children, youth, adults, and families.

Today, TACH has evolved into a mental health–focused organization, offering ethical, compassionate, and accessible outpatient mental health services — while remaining rooted in the same values that shaped our beginnings: dignity, care, and hope.

Healing is intergenerational. Supporting adults is part of protecting children.

This is our next chapter.
