Before the new school term begins, we're already preparing by purchasing essential items for the vulnerable children we support.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps provide school uniforms, shoes, books, stationery, and other basic necessities so that a child can return to school with dignity and confidence.

Today was another special day at Good News Children Ministry CBO as we prepared and distributed our August Holiday Food Baskets to the widows and children under our care.

We began the day early with shopping, sorting, packing and delivering the food according to each family's needs. Every basket represents hope, love and the kindness of people who have chosen to stand with vulnerable children.

In addition to the food baskets, we also distributed sanitary pads to our teenage girls, ensuring they have the dignity and support they deserve during the school holidays.

None of this would be possible without our amazing sponsors, friends, well-wishers and prayer partners. Your generosity continues to put food on the table, keep children in school and remind widows that they are not alone.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making a real difference in the lives of these families. May God bless you abundantly for your compassion and faithfulness.

Mid Term Holidays ❤️🙏

As the mid-term school holidays approach, we know that many of the widows in our program will have all their children at home for the next week. This often means an increased burden on already stretched household food supplies.

To help ease this challenge, we have prepared and distributed food baskets to each family, with the quantity tailored according to the size of the household. Every family received a generous supply of essential food items to ensure that mothers can focus on caring for their children without the added worry of where the next meal will come from.

Seeing the smiles, relief, and gratitude from these families reminds us why this mission is so important.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who continues to support us through donations, prayers, encouragement, and partnership. Your kindness is making a real difference in the lives of widows and their children.

Today at Good News Children Ministry CBO, we took a practical step in supporting the widows and their families in our program.

We prepared and distributed essential items tailored to each household based on the number of children. These included bathing soap, washing soap, bar soap, toothpaste, and shoe polish — timely support as schools have just reopened.

It’s often the simple, everyday necessities that make the biggest difference in restoring dignity and easing the burden on these families.

In our usual tradition, every school holiday we prepare food baskets for the widows in our program. This helps to ease the pressure and reduce stress when children return home from school and food needs increase.

We carry out this initiative four times a year — in April, August, October, and December — ensuring that each widow receives support based on the number of children in her care.

Today, we successfully completed the April distribution, which also covers the Easter period. The joy and gratitude from the widows was truly touching.

Some of these mothers are caring for one child, others for three, five, and even up to nine children — all while living in very humble mud structures, not by choice, but due to life circumstances.

We warmly invite well-wishers and partners to support this initiative by contributing food items or resources that will help us continue reaching these families.

What a wonderful and blessed day it has been!

After 3 years, we were overjoyed to welcome back Yvonne, Tony, Cameron Wood, and friends all the way from the UK 🇬🇧 to Mombasa.

Your visit has truly meant so much to us and to the children at Good News Children Ministry CBO. The generous donation of laptops for our college and university students will go a long way in supporting their education, and the T-shirts brought smiles to every child.

Your kindness, love, and continued support remind us that we are not alone in this journey.
