So, how’s DVBS really going? 👀

The smiles? BIG.
The fun? NON-STOP.
The memories? UNFORGETTABLE.

But beyond all that…

The Word of God is being planted in their little hearts.

We have several Muslim kids attending and we have seen them dwell into the word of God and asking questions

And that’s the feedback we love.

Day 3 at CITAM Mombasa Church

Reports and says .....

Today, our children carried home more than memories, games and laughter. They carried an important truth in their hearts: God is our Protector. 🙏

What a beautiful reminder to carry home from Day 3 of ! Our prayer is that this truth will continue to grow in their hearts and strengthen their faith. 🙏

Day 2 at CITAM Mombasa Church

Day 2 of our Vacation Bible School (DVBS) was much smoother and a great blessing. 🙏🏽

All out children who attended yesterday were present again today — no additions and no absentees. They arrived at the pickup point on time, had breakfast, and the bus arrived at around 6:20 a.m. We reached CITAM before 7:00 a.m., among the first group to arrive.

The children cooperated very well, and thankfully, we experienced no major transport challenges today. 👏🏽

The sanctuary was very packed, which made it difficult to take photos and videos during the service

Overall, we had a wonderful and productive day. We thank God for Day 2 and for His protection, provision, and guidance over our children and everyone involved in the DVBS.

During the August holidays, our children and young people had the wonderful opportunity to attend and take part in the daily Vacation Bible School (DVBS) at CITAM Mombasa.

The kicked off on a high note, with the children and young people engaging in learning, fellowship, worship, and fun as they grew in their understanding of God’s Word.

The programme will run through Friday, 14th August 2026, leaving our young ones equipped, encouraged, and strengthened in their faith.

We thank CITAM Mombasa Church for opening their doors and creating such a meaningful space for our children and young people during the August holidays.

Before the new school term begins, we're already preparing by purchasing essential items for the vulnerable children we support.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps provide school uniforms, shoes, books, stationery, and other basic necessities so that a child can return to school with dignity and confidence.

Today was another special day at Good News Children Ministry CBO as we prepared and distributed our August Holiday Food Baskets to the widows and children under our care.

We began the day early with shopping, sorting, packing and delivering the food according to each family's needs. Every basket represents hope, love and the kindness of people who have chosen to stand with vulnerable children.

In addition to the food baskets, we also distributed sanitary pads to our teenage girls, ensuring they have the dignity and support they deserve during the school holidays.

None of this would be possible without our amazing sponsors, friends, well-wishers and prayer partners. Your generosity continues to put food on the table, keep children in school and remind widows that they are not alone.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making a real difference in the lives of these families. May God bless you abundantly for your compassion and faithfulness.

Mid Term Holidays ❤️🙏

As the mid-term school holidays approach, we know that many of the widows in our program will have all their children at home for the next week. This often means an increased burden on already stretched household food supplies.

To help ease this challenge, we have prepared and distributed food baskets to each family, with the quantity tailored according to the size of the household. Every family received a generous supply of essential food items to ensure that mothers can focus on caring for their children without the added worry of where the next meal will come from.

Seeing the smiles, relief, and gratitude from these families reminds us why this mission is so important.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who continues to support us through donations, prayers, encouragement, and partnership. Your kindness is making a real difference in the lives of widows and their children.

Together, we are bringing hope, dignity, and practical support to families in need.

Today at Good News Children Ministry CBO, we took a practical step in supporting the widows and their families in our program.

We prepared and distributed essential items tailored to each household based on the number of children. These included bathing soap, washing soap, bar soap, toothpaste, and shoe polish — timely support as schools have just reopened.

It’s often the simple, everyday necessities that make the biggest difference in restoring dignity and easing the burden on these families.
