Two powerful days of service at our medical camp 🤍

We are deeply grateful to God for the grace that carried us through. With a dedicated team of doctors and medical assistants, we were able to serve 249 patients, bringing care, hope, and dignity to our community.

Many cases were successfully treated on site, while others—especially ENT cases—were referred for specialized care.

This was more than a medical camp—it was a reminder of why we serve. The need is great, but so is the opportunity to create lasting impact.

To everyone who supported, volunteered, and believed in this mission—thank you. Let’s keep showing up, keep growing, and keep transforming lives together 💗

We just concluded a transformative leadership training inspired by the teachings of John C. Maxwell, focusing on key areas such as attitude, priorities, personal growth, and relationships.

The training was designed for Form Four leavers, equipping them with essential life skills to confidently navigate their next transition beyond school. It also prepared them to serve with purpose as volunteers with MWEGO.

Through interactive sessions—including group discussions, observation, and engaging games—we created a dynamic space for learning, growth, and self-discovery.

We believe that empowering young leaders today shapes a stronger, more resilient tomorrow. 🌱

We successfully conducted a Back to Class Campaign that brought together learners, parents, and heads of institutions through structured mentorship and dialogue sessions. The campaign aimed to identify existing gaps in school transition and to collaboratively develop practical, sustainable strategies to address these gaps, ultimately enhancing learner retention, continuity, and overall academic success.

During the dialogue sessions, learners highlighted s*xual abuse as a major challenge affecting their safety, well-being, and ability to remain in school. Parents emphasized economic hardship, limited access to basic needs, and inadequate parental guidance as key barriers contributing to irregular attendance and school dropout. Heads of institutions further identified teenage pregnancy as the leading cause of school dropout, underscoring the urgent need for strengthened child protection, parental engagement, and comprehensive mentorship support.

Today we celebrate resilience, hard work, and determination. Our mentee, Ann Ntilari, has successfully earned her Bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Education.

Despite her visual impairment, Ann courageously journeyed from primary school all the way to university, proving that disability is not inability.

We sincerely appreciate the South Face Scholarship Program for enabling Ann to achieve her dreams and reach this remarkable milestone.

The mountain is you — and Ann has conquered🥂💐❤️

We are more than happy to have had our mentee accompany our director to the Young Women of Africa 5th Annual Convention, held at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We believe that we should not be the only girls from our village reaching such spaces — we aspire to be one among many. That is why women and girls empowerment is essential part of our program.

We sincerely appreciate Young Women of Africa and Savannah Conflict Mitigation for supporting us in taking Rhoda to the convention. Your support is shaping a generation of empowered girls who will rise, lead, and transform their communities.

Teenage pregnancy is the leading cause of school dropout in Siana — a sign of rising unprotected s*x among adolescents.
This year, many learners shared fears about s*xual abuse and asked how they can stay safe. Pedophiles, rapists, and manipulators must be held accountable.

As we mark the 16 Days of Activism and World AIDS Day 2025, let’s stand together to end Sexual & Gender-Based Violence.
If you see or experience abuse, report it by dialing 1195.

SPEAK OUT AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE

GBV affects women, girls, boys, and entire communities. Silence protects abusers—your voice can break the cycle.

Speak out for dignity, justice, and safety.
Speak out for survivors.
Speak out because every life deserves freedom and respect.

Violence thrives in silence. Change begins when we speak.
