With a heavy heart, today we joined the people of Olmekenyu village,Melelo ward in Narok county to mourn and pay our final respects the Icon Mzee Fredrick Cheres.
We share in their grief and ask God to grant them strength and courage to endure this heartbreaking loss.

All leaders assured the great people of Mau compensation will be done in two monrhs time and it's 28000___that's the legacy of the late cheres.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of popular Narok-Kalenjin leader Sir.Fredrick Cheres.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and all those who knew him during this trying moment.

On behalf of all Maasai Mau evictees Tunasema poleni sana kwa kupotesa Ndugu yetu BW Cheres.Mutyo kabisa.

President William Ruto has signed the Supplementary Appropriations Bill, 2026 into law, increasing the national budget by KSh393 billion from KSh4.3 trillion to KSh4.69 trillion. The additional funding is aimed at addressing urgent priorities, with a significant allocation directed towards security, including KSh2 billion set aside to compensate victims of protests.

The new budget also allocates KSh45.28 billion to education, KSh25 billion to the Affordable Housing Programme and nearly KSh18 billion to agriculture, alongside funding for health, infrastructure and disaster response but the maasai evictees who are dying and no place to burry,...no suplimematary when it come to Mau people.
