Binti Mwangaza Binti Mwangaza is a non-profit community-based organization(CBO) working in Kenya

Binti Mwangaza is a non-profit community-based organization working in Kenya to support and improve the lives of vulnerable women and girls from low-income families by giving them access to reusable sanitary towels. Over time, our mandate has evolved to include a livelihood program through the Hold my Hand Initiative which aims to help vulnerable women and young adults in our communities attain s

ustainable financial freedom so they do not have to depend on handouts. Since 2012 we have manufactured and distributed over 20,000 Reusable sanitary pads and delivered training to over 500 women and young adults. We also seek to address the lack of access to clean water and sanitation facilities that are essential to menstrual hygiene management. Mission
To ensure financial freedom for women and young adults in vulnerable communities while making it possible for girls in these communities to attend school during their menstruation. Vision
To create a world where women and young adults have equal opportunity to develop their talents, hobbies and ideas in order to thrive.

Today, we joined the world together with@projectsabroadglobal in commemorating Menstrual Hygiene Day at Likii Mixed Secondary school.
Through education, open conversations, and access to menstrual products, we continue to empower girls to stay confident, healthy, and in school.
Menstruation is normal, natural, and nothing to be ashamed of. Together, let’s create a world where no girl misses opportunities because of her period.

Through our Sema Clubs, we continues to champion teen mental health by creating safe spaces where young people can openly share, learn, and support one another.
The mentorship sessions focus on self-esteem, emotional wellbeing, peer pressure, confidence building, and life skills. This empowers teens to speak up, seek help, and know they are not alone.
By nurturing honest conversations and supportive communities, our Sema Clubs are helping raise a generation that is informed, resilient, and mentally strong.

What a day it was!🏃‍♀️
The 7th edition of the Binti Run last Saturday was nothing short of amazing. From the energy at the start line to the final strides across the finish, it was incredible to see our community come together to run for a cause that truly matters.
We had inspiring participation across the 10KM run and the joyful 1KM kids’ race—every runner, every supporter, every smile made the day special.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and believed in the Binti mission. Because of you, we continue to make a difference in the lives of girls through menstrual health awareness and empowerment.
Until next year… let’s keep running for a cause

Today’s teens face many pressures, and sometimes the struggles they carry are invisible. Let’s create safe spaces where they feel heard, supported, and free to talk about their feelings.
A simple conversation can make a big difference. Let’s break the stigma and remind our young people that they are not alone.

On Monday, part of our team had the privilege of distributing Binti Kits and teen booklets from our partner .se to school girls in Machungulu Secondary School in Igembe North constituency as part of our efforts to support menstrual health and dignity.

As we also marked International Women’s Day, we reflected on this year’s theme “Give to Gain."” When we give young girls the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need, we empower them to stay in school, pursue their dreams, and become strong women who will uplift others in the future.
A simple act of giving can change a girl’s life. By supporting her during her menstrual cycle, we help remove barriers that often keep girls out of the classroom and hold them back from reaching their full potential.
Today was a reminder that when we give support, dignity, and opportunity to girls, we all gain a stronger and more empowered community.
