PROJECT PROPOSAL
SUMMARY
Our organization hopes to recruit more than 773 OVC’s within eight villages i.e. Naibor, Ereri, Endana, Ngarengiro, Lekiji, Mutirithia, Marura And Matanya in order to improve their way of living by feeding and educating them.
CONTENT AND JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROJECT
Field manager will be able to monitor every activity in every village to make sure that OVC’s get the best services.
PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED
1. We shall be able to fight malnutrition among orphans and illiteracy.
2. Medical problems will be identified on time and taken care of.
3. Knowledge will be obtained in home based care and HIV/AIDS information.
4. Combat the HIV and HIV/AIDS epidemic.
5. Testing and counselling of HIV victims.
ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY
The way in which this programme integrates with the community and what makes this programme unique it that it is built on a foundation that has already been laid by the members of the community. The community in the area has agreed to give full support and co-operation to this project.
It has promised to pull resources together for the maintenance and sustainability of the project through the integration of support of orphans and HIV/AIDS information of this project.
The community is fully involved in the implementation of which it ensures ownership and sustainability.
COST AND FUNDING THE PROJECT
The project will cost approximately Ksh. 3.7 million shillings to keep the programme well running.
The organization has no special funding. It is mostly managed from the pockets of members and caregivers. Community also conducts fundraisings. We are still proposing to different donors, well-wishers, charitable organizations, churches and private sectors.
GEOGRAPHICAL
Enduata Organization operates within Segera Location in Central Division of Laikipia District in Rift Valley Province in Kenya. It’s a faith organization initiated by the local elite from pastoralists with the main aim being to make a difference on the areas of education, culture, health and tribal barriers.
Tribes living within the semi-arid areas face a lot of problems such as:
1. Poverty due to lack of concrete income generating activities.
2. Illiteracy.
3. Lack of good health.
4. Out dated traditional practices e.g. F.G.M.
PROPOSAL SOLUTION
Organization acts as a vehicle of the project to achieve sustainable and transformational development within these various parts of the area like Naibor, Ereri, Lekaji, Matanya, Endana, Ngaregiro, Mutirithia and Marura.
OBJECTIVES AND EXPECTED OUTCOME
To strengthen the capacity of household and to care for orphans and other vulnerable children and facilitate them to integrate HIV/AIDS information into their development activities by training them on entrepreneurial and management skills and set up income generating activities.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. To train home based care CHV’s for orphans and other vulnerable children in the community.
2. To campaign and advocate for behavior change and fight against stigma and discrimination for the infected and the affected.
3. To offer technical capacity to the target group on how to integrate HIV/AIDS information in their development activities.
4. To facilitate training of target groups on community entrepreneurial and management skills for income generating activities.
5. To establish self-sustaining care and support system for orphans and other vulnerable children.
6. To facilitate vocational training for older orphans and other vulnerable children.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
1. Community with trained home based care offer CHV’s to take care of orphans and other vulnerable children being taken care of and supported through home based care programme.
2. Raised level of ability to integrate HIV/AIDS information into orphan development activities.
3. High number of orphans and vulnerable children being taken care of and supported through home based care programme.
4. Community groups equipped with entrepreneurial and management skills more visible income generating activities hence reducing the poverty level.

In all of its activities, Enduata Faith Based Organization aims to co-operate and network with relevant organizations and government departments working in the area.

INDICATORS
Enduata Faith Based Organization has a project board committee composed of men and women from the local villages. The committee has identified the work on the ground. The programme committee holds meetings on monthly basis or as need arises In order to update and monitor the process made in meeting programme objectives in the ongoing programme.

Educate F.B.O in the process of recruiting more 773 OVC’s in the eight villages i.e Endana, Naibor, Mutirithia, Lekiji, Ng’areng’iro, Matanya, Ereri & Marura.
The organization has started a programme that gives supportive funds to our caretakers/care givers by establishing small income generating projects e.g.
· Zero grazing milk goats
· Providing materials for making beads products
· Bee hives for bee keeping
EVALUATING PROCEDURES
For purpose of proper administration and co-ordination of the project, Enduata Fauth Based Organization has an executive committee chaired by a coordinator whose responsibilities include; making of decisions, policy formulation and implementation.
The progress and achieved results will be monitored assessed by the executive committee which will collaborate with the project coordinator.
FOLLOW UP
For the project to succeed, measures have to be put in place to ensure all financial resources are utilized efficiently and effectively. Hence systems to monitor and track how finances are allocated and used.
Enduata Faith Based Organization has already put in place financial operation guideline to ensure that funds are geared towards maximizing activity that benefits the intended targets.
