For over 20 years, Kaisa Legei has answered late-night calls from women in her community, supporting mothers through some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

As a Traditional Birth Companion in Mutirithia, Laikipia County, Kaisa became one of her community’s most trusted voices in maternal care. Through TLP’s TBC Training, she gained new knowledge on recognizing danger signs, supporting safer deliveries, and encouraging women to seek antenatal and hospital care.

Today, she is helping women make more informed decisions about their health, pregnancy, and future.
“Every time I see a woman has delivered a healthy baby, there is a joy I feel that I cannot explain.”
Read more about Kaisa’s story and the importance of expanding maternal healthcare access in Laikipia County.

Art has a way of bringing people together and yesterday at Sanaa Room, it truly did.

In collaboration with and .nanyuki , we hosted The Art Café an open, vibrant space where artists, creatives, and art lovers came together to share, listen, and connect. Nanyuki showed up, and the energy spoke for itself.

Thank you to everyone who came through, shared a piece of themselves, and made the space what it was.

Last week, we completed the second cohort of our Mind + Machine program, bringing together a group of 4th and 5th grade students to learn robotics, coding, and mental health basics.

In just 3 weeks, students went from rarely using a computer to understanding coding problems and finding creative solutions to the challenges.
This program has been made possible by the generous support of the Creative Visions’ Students Rebuild program.

This week, we’re excited to showcase what our Mind & Machine cohort two has been building.

Over the past three weeks, 20 students have taken part in our holiday programme combining robotics, coding, and mental health learning, creating space not just to build technology, but confidence and connection.

Powered by Creative Visions and Students Rebuild, this showcase is a moment to celebrate their growth, creativity, and the ideas they’ve brought to life.
