The Lisha Project We are determined to end Classroom Hunger in our lifetime.


Lisha is a Swahili word meaning “nourish”.

It is also an acronym for (L) Lead, (I) Innovate, (S) Sustainable, (H) Holistic and (A) Access. We are a non profit organization working to end classroom hunger in the informal settlements and low income areas of Laikipia County by providing free and subsidised hot nutritious meals to school going children every school day. A successful school feeding program has positive effects on enrolment, reg

ular school attendance, transition, completion and improve cognitive abilities especially when designed to target girls and other vulnerable children.
