At the beginning of the month, we had some lovely visitors from Romania, The Mateș Family, accompanied by their friend Sarah, who runs a special needs orphanage in Romania. We had a wonderful time visiting some of the local schools and sharing the Good News of Jesus with many young people.

This video has also helped us launch our vision for our newly establishing charity ‘Generous’ - transforming disadvantaged children’s lives through education and the love of Jesus. It’s a very exciting time for our work as we really feel momentum with forming an organisation to help children in need here in Kenya. Please pray for this.

Our new Child Sponsorship programme is also one incredibly powerful way to help touch the a life for a disadvantaged child here in Kenya. Just £7 a month can help a severely disabled child access better care and resources that they so need and deserve. Regular Sponsorship helps us create a committed, relational and sustainable programme to support these beautiful and amazing children.

It is such a joy to be writing to you from here in Kenya! We are thrilled and relieved to have made it safely from the UK just over 2 weeks ago now. Our journey was much smoother this time and we are very aware of the prayer support covering this transition - thank you so much!

Wow, what a week it has been for me. I have now officially left my teaching job at King Edward's School Bath after 11 years. It was a lovely yet emotional time, especially saying goodbye to all of my lovely colleagues and super students. I was so touched by the amazing send off from the students in our final assembly and I will very much miss each one of them. It has been a real blessing being a teacher all these years at KES.

We are all currently getting the house packed up in order to be moved out by the end of the month. It is a huge task and we would really value your prayers/thoughts over the next 10 days. As you can imagine it is a big thing for the kids and we are trying to make the whole process as smooth as possible for them.

Forthcoming events:
If you live in Bath, I would like to personally invite you to an event that is being hosted by the Mothers' Union on Weds 27th July. We are meeting at 7 P.M - St Andrew’s Community Church, Hawthorn Grove, Foxhill, Bath BA2 5QA. The evening provides a chance to hear about our plans for Kenya and it would be lovely to see you there. Please can you let me know if you can make it so that we can cater accordingly.

We would also love to invite you to an informal 'bring and share' picnic/BBQ on Saturday 20th August 12 -3 P.M. The venue will be Kapunda, Southstoke Lane, Bath, BA2 5SH. Again - please let us know if you are able to attend, so we have a rough idea of numbers. This will be a lovely chance to catch up face to face with friends before we depart a few days later.

GREAT NEWS... We are delighted to share with you that our 3 year work permit has finally been granted, issued and stamped into Tim’s passport!
We are so thankful for this answer to prayer, given all the complications we have had with it over the last 2 years. It has challenged our patience, but by God’s grace, we now have the green light to go!
We have booked our flights to Nairobi on 23rd August and have now started packing up and getting ready for the big move. We are all very excited but recognise there is a lot to organise before we depart.
A big area of preparation is raising funds to support both our family costs to live in Kenya and the projects we hope to establish (distributing food, Bibles and IT equipment in the poorer rural schools). https://trcwest.com/give/
