Education and Social Empowerment Program - Kenya Helping outstanding students from Kenya's Rift Valley access world-class educational opportunities. colleges and universities.

The nonprofit Education and Social Empowerment Program, founded in 2009 by Kenyatta University professors Lillian and Mike Boit, helps bright but financially needy Kenyan students apply to elite U.S. In its first four years the program, based in Nandi Hills, helped place 24 students at top US universities, including Princeton (2), Harvard, Penn, Cornell (4), Brown, Northwestern and Stanford. EaSEP

provides SAT and TOEFL preparation, houses students for 10 weeks, pays for internet access, test registration and score report fees and helps the students negotiate the college application process.
