Champions of change foundation is a youth based and youth led non-profit organization registered in July 2013 with an aim of improving the lives of less privileged children and youth from the rural parts of the Rift Valley Region. This target population accounts for more than 70% of the total estimated population who are underprivileged in terms of the basic human needs and rights including access
to education, with 90% of them living below the poverty line. CCF was started after realization of the significance of youth groups in the development of the society. From observation and experience of being brought up in the rural parts of the Rift Valley Region, the founders realized that youth groups based in rural areas had the potential but remained limited by the socio-economic environment they reside in therefore needed skills, resources and mentor-ship to prosper. CCF aims at assisting marginalized and disenfranchised youth, through youth groups, to help them create and sustain income generating activities, lead a healthy life, access the benefits of ICT and have a better understanding of their rights as citizens. CCF has initiated various projects and programs aimed at delivering opportunities, skills and knowledge in Education (scholarships awards, mentor-ship and inspiration),Residence for needy orphaned children, Community outreach (community football leagues, crime, drug and substance abuse, environment, HIV/AIDS, child safeguarding, conflict resolution, life skills etc), Digital learning Centre (animation, photography, filming, community e-library, computer training, soft skills, micro-enterprise and exchange programs), girls empowerment (girls forums) and many more. All these initiatives aims at achieving a positive and healthy life for the youth and children. Vision
