Sometimes, a haircut becomes much more than a haircut.
Today, while giving a free street haircut, I met Joseph Ombworo, a 30-year-old father from Nyamira County. As we talked, he shared his journey with me.
Joseph worked for a security company where he began as a security guard and, through hard work and dedication, earned a promotion to driver. Sadly, the company has since closed permanently, leaving him without a job.
Despite the setback, he hasn't lost hope. He is ready and willing to work in security, as a driver, a site manager, or even as a cook. What stood out most wasn't just his experience—it was his humility, resilience, and determination to keep providing for his family.
These free street haircuts continue to remind me that behind every face is a story, a struggle, and a dream. Sometimes, all someone needs is one person willing to listen—or one opportunity to change everything.
