A few days ago, we took a step toward the next five years.

For over 15 years, our work has been about one thing— showing up for the communities we serve.

Now, we're taking a step to do that even better.

We're developing our Strategic Framework for 2026–2031. A roadmap that will sharpen how we work, deepen our impact and keep your priorities at the center of everything we do.

It's our commitment to you that we will be more responsive, more effective and more aligned with what your community actually needs.

The leaders you choose will influence the life you live.

They will make those decisions that affect your opportunities, public services and everyday life for the next five years.

It may seem early but now is the time to think carefully about your choices.

Your future deserves an informed choice.

Do you think politics is limited to elections?

Politics shows up in the school fees you pay, the jobs available, the roads you use, the hospitals you depend on and the rights you enjoy.

It is part of your everyday life and the decisions made by political leaders directly affect you. Stay informed, participate and make your voice count.

Elections are only one part of democracy.

True influence is realised when citizens identify their priorities, unite around a shared agenda and consistently demand action from their leaders.

Through the Ajenda Yetu Programme, supported by Uraia, we participated in the Citizen Manifesto Validation Forum which brought together citizens and other stakeholders to refine a shared agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The validated manifesto will provide a clear framework for engaging political leaders, advocating for citizen priorities and holding those elected accountable beyond the ballot.

We were pleased to host representatives from
Embassy of Denmark in Kenya and Somalia and Uraia during an M&E support visit.

With funding from Embassy of Denmark in Kenya and Somalia CTL has been implementing Uraia's SPARKE Project to promote civic awareness, civic engagement, voter education and meaningful citizen participation.

The team also visited one of our field activities to learn how CTL is using interactive games to make civic and voter education more engaging, fun and practical.

CTL appreciates the continued partnership and support towards building a more informed, active and empowered citizenry. We say Asante sana to you and all other partners.

As the next General Election approaches, you may already be weighing your options and deciding who deserves your vote.

As you make that choice, look beyond slogans, popularity and party loyalty. Assess each candidate’s integrity, track record and ability to offer realistic solutions to the issues affecting you and your community.

Vet carefully. Choose based on issues and vote for accountable leadership.
