Founded in 1997, SCANN, continues to remove homeless children from the streets of Nakuru and its Environs and to provide them with a home, holistic care and Most importantly, Education. Founded in 1997, Street Childrenโs Assistance for Nakuru Networks (SCANN), was created to remove homeless children from the streets of Kenya and to provide them with an education so they can have a chance to become
independent members of society. While SCANNโs primary objective is education, in order to achieve it, SCANN must also provide rehabilitation, food, clothing, shelter, health care and a nurturing, familial environment for these children to succeed. To date, more than 300 boys have have been educated up to Form Four Level, 51 of who have completed Universities and collage Programs and are now living independent lives of their own, thanks to our sponsors, donors and well wishers. Thanks primarily to the voluntary services of the Board of Trustees for encouraging and motivating these former street children to work hard and aim higher to achieve success. We would like to have a greater impact on the children we have today as well as improve the lives of children that still need help but we canโt do it without you. Please help us by sponsoring a child, a project or by donating your time and knowledge!
