Building Capacity on Alternative Justice Systems and Counselling Skills

From 8–12 June, Kituo Cha Sheria conducted a five-day Mock Hearing Training at Empolos Hotel, Nakuru, bringing together key actors from refugee and host communities.
The training aimed to equip participants with practical skills in Alternative Justice Systems (AJS) and counselling, enabling them to effectively support their communities in resolving disputes, promoting access to justice, and providing psychosocial support where needed.
Through interactive mock hearings and practical learning sessions, participants strengthened their knowledge and capacity to apply alternative dispute resolution approaches while enhancing their counselling skills to better serve refugees and host communities.
As South Wings Link, we sincerely thank Kituo Cha Sheria for organizing this impactful training and for making it a success. We appreciate the continued partnership and look forward to collaborating on future initiatives that promote access to justice, peaceful coexistence, and the well-being of refugees and host communities.
