Better Lives is delighted for having been in the team taking part in the Governor's round table in Nakuru County. Agenda yetu ni kuhakikisha azimio la Devolution Lina timia. Conversations around mental health and well-being are becoming more common however men are still far less likely to seek help — and the consequences have been devastating especially this month where we have cases of domestic violence that has led to sets of families being wiped out in the hands of those they trusted. June is Men’s Mental Health Month, a time to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and remind every man: you don’t have to go it alone. Its okay not to be okay but its not okay to be stuck with stereotypes that hinder one from seeking help for example culture and upbringing that restrains men from speaking out or showing their emotions. @ We Encourage safe spaces — at home, work, school, barbershop, gym, church, or in the community — where men feel comfortable opening up without judgment. Sometimes, just knowing it’s OK to talk makes all the difference.
