Olturoto Children's Village OCV was officially opened on 26th June 2014. We are located in Olturoto, Isinya.

Olturoto Children’s Village (OCV) is a children’s home established in Isinya, Kajiado County with the aim of providing transitional, family-based quality care to orphaned and vulnerable children. Olturoto Children’s Village (OCV) was established with the aim of providing transitional, family-based and quality care to orphaned and vulnerable children within Kajiado County. OCV is currently home to 17 children (9 girls and 8 boys and also continues to support children who were reintegrated in 2015 and three young adults in secondary school and university. Through the (RER) model, Olturoto Children's Village (OCV) RESCUES orphaned and vulnerable children at risk, EMPOWERS them and their guardians before REINTEGRATING them back with their families and guardians after a minimum period of one year.

Stronger families begin with learning together. 💚

This month, parents and guardians came together to learn how to learn, share experiences, and strengthen their role in protecting children.

The open conversations created a safe space for caregivers to ask questions, share experiences, and gain practical guidance on challenges affecting both their families and their children.

Hold up!😁 We also celebrated the continued growth of our recently launched Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA), which has expanded from 16 to 22 members within a month, a powerful sign that caregivers are embracing community-led solutions to strengthen their households.💚

We believe that when caregivers are supported, children are better protected.💚

Every child deserves a community that looks out for them.💚

Every month, Olturoto Community Child Protection Committee come together, not because they have to, but because they believe every child in Olturoto deserves to grow up safe, protected, and surrounded by care.

From following up child protection cases to strengthening family support and planning the next steps together, their commitment continues to remind us that safeguarding children is strongest when a community stands together.

We are proud to walk alongside these local champions as we continue building a safer, more caring Olturoto.💚

Sometimes the most important thing a child needs is a safe space to talk.💚

Through our group counselling sessions, children come together to share experiences, build confidence, learn from one another, and develop healthy ways of expressing their thoughts and feelings.

These conversations may seem simple, but they help children feel heard, understood, and supported as they navigate everyday challenges.

Because every child deserves a space where their voice matters.💚

"How many rights do children have?"

The answers came quickly. So did the smiles.

As part of our Day of the African Child celebrations, children took the spotlight, confidently sharing what they know about children's rights and naming the rights that matter most to them.

For many, the most inspiring part wasn't getting the answers right, it was seeing how comfortable they were speaking up, expressing themselves, and participating.

We then wrapped up the celebration with cake, laughter, and plenty of proud moments.💚

Watching children grow in confidence, understand their rights, and use their voices reminds us why this work matters.

Happy Day of the African Child!💚
