There comes a time when those who spent their lives pouring into others also need a safe place to rest, reflect, and be poured into.

This June, WAPE will be hosting a 3-Day Mental & Emotional Wellness Debriefing Retreat specially designed for retired and retiring individuals, men and women who have carried responsibilities, served families, institutions, communities, and churches faithfully over the years.

Many people retire from work, but never truly transition emotionally. The silence after years of responsibility, the changes in identity, the unspoken fatigue, grief, disappointments, and unanswered questions can quietly weigh heavily on the heart. This retreat seeks to create a warm and intentional space for healing, reflection, fellowship, laughter, renewal, and honest conversations about life beyond active service.

Over the three days, participants will engage in guided debriefing sessions, devotional reflections, wellness conversations, community sharing, and meaningful moments of rest in a peaceful environment.

📍 Venue: WAPE – House of Peace, Nakuru
📅 Dates: 24th – 26th June 2026

What happens after escape?

For thousands who flee war, conflict, and loss, safety is only the beginning. Kakuma Refugee Camp in northern Kenya is home to over 200,000 people from across Africa and beyond—each carrying a story of survival. But beyond the headlines and humanitarian aid lies a deeper reality: the quiet, ongoing struggle of the mind, identity, and hope.

This documentary steps into that space. Watch it on YouTube.

A Heart of Thanksgiving.

This past year has been a journey—filled with moments of great joy, and others that stretched our faith in ways we did not expect. Yet through it all, one thing remains constant: God’s faithfulness.

As a team, we took time to come before God in thanksgiving—not because everything was perfect, but because He has been present in every step. Thanksgiving is not just for the good moments; it is a posture of the heart, even in uncertainty, even in lack, even in waiting.

We give thanks for every life reached, every heart healed, every door opened, and even for the challenges that shaped us along the way.

We invite you to reflect:
What are you choosing to thank God for today, regardless of your circumstances?
