What a beautiful way to close our book drive. At Naipa Primary, our final school of the journey, we were welcomed by students and parents with songs, joy, and so much excitement. The warm reception reminded us why we do what we do because every child, every community, and every dream matters.

Our book drive continued to Nayanaeang’ikalalio Primary, where we shared more than just exercise books, we shared hope, encouragement, and a reminder that every child’s dream matters.

From cartons of books to little hands filled with big dreams. At Nabwelipus Primary School, every exercise book handed over was a step towards keeping the spirit of learning alive.

Day 3: Nabwelipus Primary School, Turkana.

Returning to Nabwelipus Primary was a heartbreaking reminder of the challenges many children face in accessing education. We found fewer children at school, with some having been sent away by their parents to look after the family’s herds. Behind every empty seat is a story, and behind every child is a dream worth protecting.
At Ajuma Foundation, we believe every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. Together with RUBiS Energy Kenya we continue our mission to keep education within reach, one school at a time.

Turkana, we have arrived. The journey came with its own adventures from having security accompany us along the way to an unexpected tyre puncture. But nothing could dim our excitement, the mission continues, and we are ready to make a difference, one book at a time.

Day 3: New roads, new experiences.

We are travelling from West Pokot with excitement in our hearts and a mission to make a difference. For some of our team members, this is their very first time heading to Turkana, and the adventure is just getting started.

Next stop: Turkana County.

Some moments stay with you long after the journey ends.

Our time at Mbulia Primary School was filled with smiles, laughter, warm welcomes and beautiful reminders. Every conversation and every shared moment with the children reminded us that even the smallest acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact. This was not just a school visit, it was a day of connection, hope, and memories that we will always carry with us. Until next time, Mbulia Primary School.
