Today, we celebrate and honor fathers—strong pillars whose presence shapes families, strengthens communities, and builds society.

Fathers are more than providers; they are protectors, mentors, and role models. Through their guidance, love, and sacrifices, they nurture values, instill discipline, and inspire hope for the future. Their quiet strength and unwavering support create a foundation upon which generations stand.

In our families, fathers offer direction and stability. In our communities, they lead, support, and uplift others. In society, they contribute to growth, integrity, and unity.

On this special day, we appreciate every father and father figure for the vital role they play. May you feel valued, respected, and celebrated not just today, but every day.

Happy Father’s Day!

Yesterday,Youth Alive Kenya hosted the National convening of the Employers' Community of Practice under the Time to Care Project. Employers from Nairobi, Kiambu, Mombasa, and Nakuru came together with domestic workers’ representatives, legal experts, and care sector partners to reflect on progress, share lessons, and strengthen accountability in advancing decent domestic work.

This national convening reaffirmed a powerful truth: employers are not just private actors, they are key partners in shaping fair, lawful, and dignified working conditions in the care economy.
With a shared resolution and renewed commitment to rights protection and responsible employment practices, we move forward united in making care justice a lived reality in Kenyan households and communities.
