Violent Extremism (VE) inhibits a society's prospects for the enjoyment of Human Rights, Good Governance, Peace, and Security.
As a tenet in increasing community resilience to radicalization and recruitment into Violent Extremism in Nakuru County, the promotion of Alternative VE narratives to challenge extremist beliefs and actions to achieve political, religious, and ideological objectives is a key priority.
MIDRIFT HURINET Prevention of Violent Extremism (PVE) is a coordinated approach that ensures all sectors are engaged to say no to violent extremism and to reduce the poll from which violent extremists can radicalize and recruit as informed by the National Strategy on Countering Violent Extremism.
Addressing vulnerabilities like human rights violations, police brutality and youth unemployment is vital in enhancing citizen-police trust for enhanced reporting of VE incidences and reducing the level of hopelessness among the youth.
