Yesterday, courtesy of AC Manyani Wellness, we held an exciting football extravaganza at St. Theresa’s Primary School featuring six local teams in the U13 category: Mwenge, Kivumbini, Machanga, Beach Boys, Kimathi, and AC Manyani Juniors.

The teams were drawn into two pools of three, playing a round-robin format before the pool winners advanced to the final. Kimathi topped Pool A, while Kivumbini emerged winners from Pool B.

After a hard-fought final, Kivumbini edged out Kimathi in a dramatic post-match penalty shootout to claim the title.

Every team walked away with two match balls each, with the winner carrying the trophy 🏆.

We thank all the teams for showing up, displaying great talent, and embracing grassroots football, which remains the foundation for nurturing and developing future stars.

We also extend our appreciation to Football Kenya Federation Nakuru County Branch for their continued support in promoting grassroots football and youth development.

Through members' contributions, we were able to supply sanitary towels and tissue papers to several girls at Manyani Estate. This is a joint endeavor between the Wellness, Health and Education Department and the Guidance and Counselling Department of AC Manyani Wellness CBO.

Our head of the Guidance and Counselling department spoke with the ladies and encouraged them to remain disciplined, hardworking, and committed to helping improve their character and achieve their goals in education and life in general.

As a community-based organization, we aim to broaden our base in order to reach more girls in our fight to eliminate period shame and stigma, and support the young girls in achieving quality and hygienic menstrual health.

A clean environment is a great factor in having a healthy community. AC Manyani FC players led by Joseph Kwandeka (Head of Environment Department at AC Manyani Wellness) were once again involved in environmental clean-up in the Manyani Estate as a way of community service to improve sanitation and health in our community.

Among the pillars and foundations of our team is championing for a clean, healthy and friendly environment. Today as part of engaging and giving back to the community AC Manyani FC players took part in a community clean up covering some areas of Manyani Estate.

"We are very concerned with the state of the environment in our hood. The stagnant water, dumping of waste matter in the drainage and clogged sewers pose a health risk in the estate." Mr. Joseph Kwandeka who is the head of Environment Department at AC Manyani Wellness opines.

"We have always been very conscious of our environment. We want to be more deliberate in environmental conversation. The only challenge we have is resources and equipment to aid us in effective environmental management but we are using what we have because we cannot just sit and watch the members of the community be exposed to diseases and poor health. We are lucky we have players from AC MANYANI FC who share in the same vision and are always ready to lead the other young people in the clean ups. This is something we will continue doing as we look to benefit the whole estate on this." Kwandeka says.
