Supply and Delivery of Sewing Machines

Women Like Us invites eligible and qualified suppliers to submit bids for the supply and delivery of the following equipment for its women empowerment project:

Electric Sewing Machines 3
Manual Sewing Machines 5
Electric Overlock Machine 1

Submission Requirements

Interested suppliers should submit the following documents:

1. Quotation indicating unit prices and total cost.
2. Proforma Invoice or Invoice for the proposed items.

We are deeply alarmed by the increasing reports of child abduction cases, especially involving school-going children in Nakuru County.

Behind every missing child is a mother whose heart breaks every passing minute, a parent trapped in agony, wondering whether their child is safe, hungry, frightened, or even alive.

For many women, particularly mothers and caregivers, this crisis is creating emotional trauma that words cannot fully explain.

We call upon the Government, security agencies, county leadership, schools, and community stakeholders to urgently act:

1. Strengthen child protection and school safety measures
2. Increase investigations and swift response to reported abductions
3. Enhance community policing and surveillance in high-risk areas
4. Hold perpetrators accountable without delay
5. Raise public awareness on child safety and reporting mechanisms

We were honored to host a courtesy visit from Kenya Community Development Foundation yesterday at the Women Like Us Centre office.

The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations around community empowerment, women’s development, and sustainable impact. We appreciate the time KCDF took to learn more about our programs and the work we continue to do in empowering women and girls through skills training, entrepreneurship, and social support initiatives.

We are proud to have participated in a 2-day Capacity Strengthening Session hosted by Oxfam Kenya under the 'Time to Care Project'.

The training focused on advancing gender-transformative care policies and strengthening efforts toward equitable care systems for women and girls in Kenya. It was an enriching experience that deepened our understanding and strengthened our commitment to advocating for gender equality and inclusive care infrastructure.

Women Like Us continues to champion the empowerment of women and girls through knowledge, skills, and transformative action.

We were honored to host representatives from SNDBXUBUNTU at our offices for a courtesy visit and program evaluation of the SANARA Program, implemented in partnership with Mastercard Foundation.

It was a proud moment for us to share the impact of this incredible initiative, especially as some of our women are already beneficiaries—gaining access to individual grants, mentorship, and opportunities that are transforming their creative journeys and livelihoods.

We deeply appreciate the visit, the meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to reflect on the progress made together. It reaffirmed the power of collaboration in driving real, sustainable change.
