We don’t just tell children about solutions at Eden, we demonstrate it to them.

Introducing children to practical innovations like the rocket stove we use to cook meals at camp is one of the best moments. They get to see how it efficiently uses less firewood while producing significantly less smoke, demonstrating a simple but powerful solution for both environmental conservation and cleaner cooking.

Because true understanding happens when learners can see it, touch it, and apply it, this is what brings long lasting impact in their behavior later in life.

We teamed up with our amazing neighbors at Nyakinyua, Eden Eco Champions, and Eden Rebound students to plant over 2,000 indigenous trees! It was such a joyful, powerful moment of community coming together for nature.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get better… the rain showed up right on time, the perfect boost to help our seedlings thrive!
Here’s to restoring our ravine, one tree at a time

Day 1 at Eden Camp, many children arrive feeling timid and uncertain about the quiet, wild beauty of the forest. But through games, laughter, and simple icebreakers in the field, the campsite slowly transforms into a place of comfort, confidence, and adventure.

My favorite moment as a camp counselor is watching the silence of nature come alive with the sound of children laughing, running, and embracing the outdoors together.

Our young explorers at camp turned into mini-scientists today! We spent part of the morning hike tracking pollinators and discovering the vital role they play in our ecosystem.
It was a powerful lesson in Diversity. Many of the kids noticed butterflies and insects they had never seen back in their homesteads. This opened up a beautiful conversation: just like the diverse colors and shapes of these butterflies, the world is filled with variety that makes it vibrant and healthy.
Beyond the fun, they gained a new field survey skill, learning how to observe, document, and identify species in their natural habitat.
