PART TWO || Introducing The Fasaha Project

This is the next chapter.

The Fasaha Project (TFP) is USI’s flagship ten-week leadership, communication, and employability accelerator for university students.

Fasaha is a Swahili word meaning clarity, eloquence, authentic expression, and excellence, and that’s exactly what this program is designed to cultivate.

TFP was created to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity by equipping young people with:
• self-leadership skills
• emotional awareness
• practical communication tools
• career development guidance
• and a supportive cohort community

In this video, our founder introduces TFP & shares indepthly what we're about.

USI is growing.
TFP is expanding.
And this is only the beginning.

Welcome to The Fasaha Project.

Our Story, Our Why||Part 1|

Some journeys begin quietly.
Ours began long before the posts, the programs & the platforms.

In this video, our founder shares the heart behind Unlimited Sis Initiative (USI), where we started, why we operated offline for so long, and the values that have shaped this work from the beginning.

USI started as a grassroots effort rooted in menstrual health, mental wellness, gender equity, and youth empowerment. Over the years, we’ve partnered with schools, children’s homes, community groups, churches, and international organizations, centering dignity, trust & impact over visibility.

Even when our socials were quiet, the work continued.

And it’s because of our community, supporters, partners, mentors & USI Rafikis, that we’ve been able to grow.

This video shares the story before the next chapter.

And we’re grateful to finally share it with you.

Last year, we built The Fasaha Project.

A space where potential meets practice, and young people learn how to show up fully.

More to come.

Last year, we went a little quiet on here. Not because we disappeared, but because we were doing the kind of growing you can’t rush or rush to post.

USI has always been about the conversations beneath the surface: mental health, menstrual health, and what it really takes to grow into yourself in a world that expects you to already have it figured out.

This year, we’re opening the door a bit wider.
Sharing more. Showing up more. Inviting you into the process.

This is just the beginning.
And we’re really glad you’re here.

Some days, healing feels like a deep convo with yourself.Other days? It’s just getting out of bed, breathing, and trying again.

We’re told mental health work has to be big and loud, but honestly, the small habits? Those are the ones holding us together. Softness isn’t weakness. Slowness isn’t failure.Choosing yourself, quietly and consistently, is strength.

And to everyone across Kenya right now, marching, grieving, resisting, feeling it all deeply, we see you. We stand with you💔✊🏾There is no wellness without justice. There is no healing without truth.

These are the habits that look gentle, but hit hard when you need them most. Save this for the days when everything feels heavy. Share it with someone who deserves more softness in this season of struggle.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month & girl, it’s time we stop frontin’. Taking care of your mind ain’t weak, it’s the ultimate power play!💅🧠

Being a baddie means more than looking good, it means protecting your peace like a boss. Saying no without the drama, resting like it’s your side hustle, and blocking out the nonsense like it’s spam.

This checklist? It’s your guide to bossing up your mental game. Drink water, journal your feelings instead of blasting ’em on socials & don’t forget, your peace comes first.

Mental health is real work.So if you’re showing up for yourself, shout out to you! Tag your girls who are out here leveling their mind and mood too.

Because real queens fix their crown & their mind!♡

You wouldn’t tell someone with a broken leg to ‘just walk it off,’ so why do people say the absolute worst things when it comes to mental health?

Newsflash: depression doesn’t have a ‘look,’ invalidating feelings doesn’t magically make them disappear, and no, struggling with mental health isn’t ‘just being dramatic.’

If someone opens up to you, try listening instead of auditioning for the role of ‘Worst Advice Giver 2024.’ Mental health is real, and so is the impact of your words. Be kind. Be better.

👉 What’s the worst mental health advice you’ve ever received?

If we can justify spending on fast food, coffee & streaming, why do we still debate the cost of period products? Menstruation isn’t a choice, but paying extra for it feels like a penalty.

💭 Imagine a world where period products were as accessible as your daily coffee, what would that change?

🔥 Drop a 🔴 in the comments if you agree that period products should be FREE. And tag a policymaker who needs to hear this!
