Growing Resilience Through Climate-Smart Agriculture
Climate change is putting increasing pressure on food systems, livelihoods, and natural resources. Yet within these challenges lies an opportunity to build stronger, more resilient communities.
Through Bethel Network's Food Security & Climate Change (FOSECC) program, we are empowering communities with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to achieve sustainable food security while protecting the environment.
Our impact so far:
✔️ 180 households supported with sustainable agriculture practices
✔️ 45 acres under climate-smart agriculture
✔️ Improved food security and household nutrition
✔️ Increased resilience to climate change
Beyond farming, FOSECC is driving environmental restoration through agroforestry, community tree nurseries, and the planting of indigenous and fruit trees. These efforts are restoring ecosystems, improving biodiversity, and creating new livelihood opportunities.
At the heart of our work is community empowerment. Through training, demonstration farms, and ongoing technical support, farmers are adopting climate-smart practices that strengthen both their livelihoods and their resilience.
When communities have the right knowledge and resources, they can transform challenges into opportunities and build a more sustainable future for generations to come.
