Knowing your leaders' roles is the first step to holding them accountable.

At our recent Community Dialogue Forum in Kariobangi, participants explored why civic education is essential in building informed and engaged communities.
One key message stood out: when young people understand the distinct roles and responsibilities of their leaders, they develop realistic expectations and can demand accountability more effectively.

The discussion also emphasized the importance of exercising the right to vote. Registering as a voter is more than a civic duty it's an opportunity to shape the future of our communities and our country.

At our recent Semi-Annual Tournament in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, participants discovered that the biggest victories don't come from individual brilliance they come from working together.

Through sports, Vision Changers Kenya continues to demonstrate that problem-solving is a skill best learned through teamwork, communication, trust, and shared responsibility.
Every challenge on the field reflected real-life situations where unity turns obstacles into opportunities.

Bullying affects confidence, mental wellbeing, and learning. Every young person deserves to feel safe, respected, and included.

Through Hope Kwa Vijana Mtaani and Tuwajibike Mtaani, Vision Changers Kenya and our partners are promoting safe spaces where empathy, respect, and dialogue help end bullying.

Be an upstander, not a bystander. Speak up, support someone being bullied, and help create safer schools and stronger communities.

Speaking during a church service, a police officer delivered a heartfelt message to young people living in informal settlements, urging them to abandon crime and embrace positive change.

She reminded the youth that crime does not pay and warned against allowing themselves to be manipulated into causing fear and violence within their own communities. Instead, she encouraged them to become agents of peace, protect their neighbourhoods, and pursue opportunities that build a brighter future.

Every young person has the power to rewrite their story. The choices made today will shape the communities we live in tomorrow.

At our recent Peace and Security Workshop in Buruburu, Vision Changers Kenya brought together community members to engage in meaningful dialogue on peace, inclusion, and social cohesion. Through our hope kwa Vijana Mtaani programme, we continue to create safe spaces where communities can listen, learn, and collaborate across differences.
