‎🌱 Gratitude Post..Mazingira Day 🌱

‎Today, we were honoured to host the Wapendanao Group at Rescue Dada Centre - Kamulu. Their visit brought joy, encouragement, and a deep sense of community to our girls.

‎The group spent quality time interacting with the girls, sharing words of motivation, refreshments, and generous in-kind donations. We are truly grateful for their kindness and the inspiration they brought with them.

‎In celebration of Mazingira Day, they also planted two beautiful trees on our grounds — a lasting symbol of growth, hope, and environmental responsibility. 🌳🌳

‎From all of us at Rescue Dada Centre, thank you, Wapendanao Group, for your continued support and for making a difference in the lives of our girls.

Empowering Girls Through Employability Skills Training

The Empowerment Team at Rescue Dada Centre conducted a one-day Employability Skills Training for 32 girls enrolled in our vocational training programs—both at our centre (Hairdressing & Beauty) and in external TVET institutions.

This training aimed to:
✅ Enhance their work readiness
✅ Prepare them for the job market
✅ Equip them to handle the pressures of job searching and employment
✅ Help them understand employer expectations during recruitment and on the job

The session also covered CV writing, interview preparation, and job application guidance. Each trainee worked on developing a personal profile, which will be shared with potential employers and placement agencies to support their transition into meaningful employment.

At Rescue Dada Centre, we believe that vocational training only becomes truly impactful when it leads to gainful employment or empowers the girls to start their own businesses. That’s why we are committed to not only equipping them with skills but also supporting their transition into employment or entrepreneurship. We closely monitor their first steps in the job market or business journey to identify any additional support they may need to succeed.
Together, we’re building pathways to independence and a brighter future.
