🌍⚜️ A JOURNEY BACK TO OUR ROOTS
Some journeys take you to new places. Others take you back to the roots of who you are.
During our participation in the 2nd Africa Rover Moot 2026 in South Africa, we had the honour of visiting Vilakazi Street in Soweto—the very place that inspired the name of our Villakazi Crew.
Standing there was a truly special moment. A name that we have proudly carried in Kenya brought us to the streets where its inspiration came from. It reminded us that behind every name is a story, and behind every journey is a purpose.
From Kenya to Soweto, we followed the story of Villakazi and created a new chapter of our own. 🇰🇪🤝🇿🇦
This wasn't just a visit.
It was a connection to our identity, our inspiration and our journey as Rovers.
We came looking for the story behind our name, and we found a moment we will carry with us forever. ❤️

What an incredible journey it has been! 🇰🇪✈️🇿🇦
Villakazi Rover Crew proudly took part in the 2nd Africa Rover Moot 2026 in South Africa, represented by two International Service Team (IST) members and two Rover participants.
Our four representatives carried with them not just the name of Villakazi, but the spirit of service, adventure, friendship and leadership that defines Rovering. ⚜️
The Moot gave us an opportunity to meet Rovers and Scouts from different parts of Africa, exchange ideas, learn new skills, embrace different cultures and, most importantly, strengthen the bond that unites us as one Scouting family. 🌍🤝
From serving as ISTs to actively participating in the Moot programme, every moment became a lesson, every challenge became an opportunity, and every friendship became a memory to treasure.
We are grateful for the opportunity to represent Kenya 🇰🇪 and Villakazi Rover Crew on this continental platform. We return with more than memories — we return with inspiration, lessons, friendships and a renewed commitment to serve.
South Africa gave us an experience we will never forget. 🇿🇦❤️
We came as representatives.
We served as Scouts.
We connected as Africans.
We returned as one family. 🌍⚜️

In camps, we trade comfort for adventure, routines for freedom, and ordinary days for extraordinary memories that stay with us forever.
