Celebrating 27 Years of Kinyago United Soccer School
For 27 remarkable years, Kinyago United Soccer School has stood as a beacon of hope, discipline, and opportunity in the heart of Kinyago Village. Born out of a simple dream to use football as a tool for change, the club has grown into a powerful community institution ( Kinyago United Welfare Assosiation ) positively shaping the lives of countless children and youth from the slums of Kinyago.
What began as a small grassroots initiative has become a safe haven where young people learn more than just how to play the game. At Kinyago United Soccer School, football is a classroom teaching teamwork, resilience, respect, and leadership. In an environment often challenged by poverty and limited opportunities, the club has consistently offered structure, mentorship, and a sense of belonging.
Over the past 27 years, Kinyago United has nurtured talent, kept children off the streets, promoted education, and instilled values that extend far beyond the pitch. Many former players have grown into responsible adults, community leaders, and role models, carrying forward the lessons learned on the dusty fields of Kinyago.
As we celebrate this milestone, we honor the founders, coaches, volunteers, parents, partners, players and departed souls who have made this journey possible. Their dedication and belief in the power of sport have transformed lives and strengthened the community.
Twenty-seven years on, the mission remains strong. Kinyago United Soccer School continues to dream bigger, reach further, and inspire the next generation, proving that even in the most challenging circumstances, hope can rise, talent can shine, and futures can be built through the beautiful game.
