The Institute is a centre of excellence and innovation for transformative ministerial learning and social transformation. IST educates and trains agents of social transformation to discover their personal and communitarian calling. At the for Social Transformation Tangaza University , Earth Day was more than a celebration—it was a living tribute to Pope Francis’ legacy of ecological renewal. Together with partners, we launched a regenerative pasture-range system, planted 70 multifunctional trees guided by the “Seven Fs,” and witnessed how livestock, crops, and soil can thrive in harmony.

Professor Alexander Nuer reminded us: Earth Day should not be confined to a single date—it must be a daily ethic. 🌱💚

Today, the PhD Muslim Doctoral Students in Social Transformation at Tangaza University hosted a special Iftar, inviting all Muslim students to share in fellowship and reflection.

We were honored by the presence of the Director of Postgraduate Studies and the Director of the Institute of Social Transformation (IST), who joined in celebrating this sacred tradition.

For IST, Iftar is more than a meal — it is a symbol of unity, dialogue, and social transformation. It reminds us that faith and scholarship can walk hand in hand to nurture leaders who build bridges across communities.

Yesterday, students from the for Social Transformation MBA in Social Entrepreneurship & Sustainability and the LSE MSc in Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship came together at Tangaza University for an inspiring day of connection and collaboration.
