Last week Friday 13th March, we had the privilege of convening an inspiring gathering of women entrepreneurs, partners, and ecosystem leaders for the She Does Business Breakfast Forum, held in recognition of International Women's Day.
Hosted by My Identity Blooms and Purpose & Identity, an affiliate of Alternatives Africa, the breakfast brought together seasoned and emerging women in enterprise under the theme “Breaking Barriers. Building Legacies.”
The forum provided a strategic platform to spotlight the contributions of women entrepreneurs while advancing dialogue on how partnerships, inclusive business models, and intergenerational collaboration can strengthen the ecosystem for women-led enterprises.
Key conversations during the breakfast focused on:
• Amplifying the voice and visibility of women in enterprise
• Unlocking opportunities for women-led businesses through partnerships
• Encouraging intergenerational mentorship and collaboration
• Building sustainable enterprises that create lasting economic impact
We are grateful to our speakers, partners, and participants whose insights and presence made the conversation both meaningful and impactful.
As we reflect on the engagements from the forum, one message stood clear: "When women in enterprise are supported, connected, and empowered, they not only build successful businesses they build legacies that transform economies and communities."
