♻️🌍 Day 3 of the Regional Learning Exchange, proudly sponsored by Tetra Pak, saw PAKPRO engage with two pioneering South African recyclers and manufacturers driving innovation in the circular economy.
Our first stop was Cycliq Pty, a Johannesburg-based company transforming 100% recycled plastic and PolyAl from liquid board packaging into durable, fully recyclable products for the logistics, construction, and automotive sectors. Their impressive range includes plastic pallets, cable drums, bed frames, modular flooring, furniture, and wheel chocks - all designed to extend material life cycles while reducing waste.
The team then visited the award-winning Infinite Industries in Brakpan, Gauteng, founded by the visionary Maggie Bozic Infante. The company is redefining waste through innovative solutions that convert PolyAl and other difficult-to-recycle materials into eco-boards, roofing sheets, school furniture, sanitation facilities, low-cost housing solutions, recycled plastic manholes, and functional art pieces. Infinite Industries is renowned for transforming waste into luxury interior and public design applications, including installations at Nelson Mandela Square - a powerful demonstration of how circular economy innovation can reshape public spaces and communities.
These visits highlighted the immense potential of African-led recycling innovation in creating sustainable products, generating economic value, and advancing a more circular future.
