A Journey of Purpose

In 2026, a group of determined drivers embark on an extraordinary adventure — driving rickshaws over 1,826 kilometres from Chhapaiya to Bhuj, taking 7days

Each rickshaw team will raise funds 3000 pound with 29 rickshaws for Make a Change Foundation’s Eye Camps in Kenya, helping to deliver sight-saving surgeries, prescription glasses, medical treatment, and follow-up care to individuals and families affected by preventable blindness.

Why It Matters

Across many communities in Kenya, avoidable blindness and poor eye health are daily realities. Something as simple as untreated cataracts or lack of access to glasses can take away a person’s ability to work, study, or live independently.

At Make a Change, we believe that sight is more than just vision — it’s opportunity. Through our eye camps, we aim to provide sustainable access to eye care for those who need it most, ensuring that children can return to school, parents can provide for their families, and elders can once again see the world around them.

It was a distinct pleasure and privilege for Shanta and I to actively participate in a truly unique and inspiring activity of the Lions Club of Bhuj Kutch Sight First in Bhuj, India, together with Vice President Dr. Manoj Shah earlier today. LLBL Soyum and Jayna also joined us in this remarkable event.

This was a special Fund Raiser by a Lions Club whose 20 members are all visually impaired. Over 50 cars took part in the rally, each one navigated by a blind Lion who confidently read out the 30 km route and guided the driver along the designated path.
The unwavering confidence and determination of these navigators transformed the rally into a powerful reminder that true vision comes from courage, not sight.

In the presence of Vice President Dr. Manoj Shah, Shanta and I were honoured to extend our support with a contribution of Rs. 50,000 to strengthen the impactful service and ongoing activities of this extraordinary Blind Lions Club.
