A Journey Rooted in Service
My journey to this moment did not begin in diplomatic
chambers or international conferences.
It began in the humble communities of Narok County, where I grew up as a young orphan whounderstood early in life the realities of poverty, hardship, and social vulnerability.
Those experiences shaped my understanding of one profound truth:
Peace is not merely the absence of war.
Peace is the presence of justice, opportunity, dig-
nity, and hope.
β Poverty and inequality
β Youth unemployment
β Weak governance systems
β Human rights violationsThe responsibility bef-
ore us is clear:
We must transform Africaβs challenges into oppor-
tunities for unity, prosperity, andlasting peace.
Vision for UNIPGC Kenya
As Country Director, I commit to positioning UNIPGC
Kenya as a strategic hub for peacediplomacy,
governance advocacy, and leadership devel-
opment in East Africa.
our mission will be guided by five strategic priorities.
We will strengthen community-based peace struc-
tures across Kenya, ensuring that earlywarning sys-
tems, dialogue platforms, and mediation frameworks
exist at both grassroots andnational levels.
Through partnerships with global institutions such as the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance and the American University of Peace and Gover-nance, we will develop a newgeneration of certified peace ambassadors, mediators, and governance
professionals.
Democracy must remain a pillar of stability.
UNIPGC Kenya will actively support electoral peace initiatives, election monitoringprograms, and democratic governance training.
True peace must address the root causes of instability.
We will therefore expand initiatives that support :
β Education for vulnerable children
β Women and youth empowerment
β Poverty reduction initiatives
Advancing the United Nations Susta-
inable Development Goals
our work will align closely with the UN Sustainable
Development Agenda, ensuring thatpeacebuilding
efforts contribute to sustainable economic and social progress.
No organization can achieve peace alone.
Peace is built through partnerships and collab-
oration.
I therefore extend an open invitation to:
β Governments across Africa
β United Nations agencies
β Diplomatic missions
β Academic institutions
β Civil society organizations
β Faith-based institutions
β Youth and women-led movements
to partner with UNIPGC Kenya in advancing our sha-
red vision of peaceful societies andeffective gover-
nance.
A Personal Commitment
As I assume this responsibility, I pledge to lead with:
β Integrity
β Courage
β Accountability
β Inclusiveness
β And unwavering dedication to service.
Leadership must always remain grounded in humility
and guided by the principle that the truemeasure of leadership is the impact we create in the lives of
others.
My mission will be to ensure that UNIPGC Kenya
becomes a model of peace diplomacy, governance
excellence, and humanitarian leadership in Africa
