Meet Faith Nduta (Right), a trailblazer shaping brighter tomorrows for her community. In 2023, she joined the USAID Tumikia Mtoto, DREAMS Project, where mentorship and entrepreneurship training gave her skills like record-keeping and profit management. With a business grant, she turned her salon into a thriving venture.

Today, Faith employs 4 young people, including 2 DREAMS girls like Eunice.(Left) Her goal? To transform her salon into a full-service spa, empowering more lives along the way.

We sincerely thank Bjorn and his wife, Astrid, for their remarkable generosity and steadfast support of our sponsorship project since 2009.

Through their commitment, over 100 students from humble backgrounds have been able to access secondary and university education creating life-changing opportunities for their futures. 🌟

This year, we celebrate three of these students who have proudly graduated from universities in Kenya. 🎓

The St. John’s Community Centre Sponsorship Project supports students from humble backgrounds by providing access to secondary and tertiary education along with mentorship to guide them toward success.

🎉Celebrating our very own Austine Asalache from Kiambiu! 🎉
Austin joined the St. John’s Community Centre sponsorship project in 2010 after being unable to join secondary school due to lack of school fees. Through the project, he received support for school fees, scholastic materials, and mentorship, which helped shape his journey.

He sat for his Form Four exams in 2014 and later joined Chuka University to pursue a degree in teaching. Inspired to empower the next generation through education. His sponsor was impressed by his good grades and dedication and supported him to pursue his master’s degree in 2019.
Last week, he graduated from Chuka University at the top of his class with a Master’s degree! 🎓

We are so proud of his achievements and the bright future ahead. 🌟
