1.To contribute to society’s role in encouraging open debates on public policy;
2.To support environmental governance initiatives and principles for sustainable development;
3.To identify viable solutions to conflict and peace-building in the management of natural resources;
4.To enlist local interventions on climate change miti

gation and adaptation programmes;
5.To influence public participation in governance issues;
6.To domesticate appropriate concepts of green technologies and pilot demonstration sites in community livelihood improvement programmes; and
7.To identify and map degraded sites and project them for catchment rehabilitation.
