With extensive experience in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Charlotte has worked at the intersection of business development, private sector engagement, and sanitation market strengthening in Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan. Through her work with FINISH INK, she has led the training, mentorship, and coaching of entrepreneurs and trainers, helping build viable sanitation businesses that drive long-term impact.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate women like Gloria, a WASH entrepreneur who is helping expand access to safe sanitation while creating opportunities within her community.

Across many communities, women are often the most affected by inadequate sanitation services. Yet they are also among the most powerful agents of change — leading businesses, promoting healthier practices, and building solutions that improve lives.

Through the work of FINISH Mondial Kenya, women entrepreneurs are gaining access to the opportunities, skills, and partnerships needed to participate fully in sanitation markets.

This year’s **International Women's Day theme — Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls — reminds us that achieving equality requires removing barriers and ensuring women can participate, lead, and thrive across all sectors, including sanitation.
