Before a plane ever took off, the ultimate rescue mission took place. It happened without a plane, because one man had God's heart to redeem humanity.

Because Jesus defeated the grave, we can fly and deliver life-changing flights every day, we can bring help, hope and healing. We can bring life.

This Easter we remember that our mission would be nothing if not for the price Jesus paid on the cross.

Because He lives, we can fly.

WHERE WE SERVE

MAF International operates 12 programmes across Africa and Asia-Pacific. The size and nature of each programme varies depending on the needs within each country. But what remains constant is where we serve, often in the world’s remotest regions, places of deepest human need where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. These are isolated, hard-to-reach areas where roads end and communities are cut off.
MAF International collaborates with sister organisations MAF-US and MAF Canada, along with five Latin America affiliate programmes. All together we work in 29 countries.

In Lodwar, where access to healthcare is limited, families like Daniel’s rely on moments like these. After his surgery at Africa Inland Church Kijabe Hospital, Daniel returned for a follow-up clinic made possible by MAF flying a CURE medical team into the region. What would take over 12 hours by road became just a two-hour flight, giving doctors more time to focus on what matters most, patients. During the outreach, 44 children were seen, including many returning for critical post-operative care.

For mothers like Tokoi, who brought her son Isaac in search of help, the clinic brought more than treatment, it brought hope. Seven children have now been identified for life-changing surgery, with many more continuing their recovery journey. Through this partnership, MAF is helping ensure that distance is no longer a barrier to specialised care for children in remote communities.

Grateful for the support of our colleagues caroline kendi and Ian Karanja from MAF in Kenya, who recently travelled to Liberia to assist with the annual 200-hour inspection and defect rectification. Their time and expertise helped keep the aircraft ready for the vital flights that serve remote communities. It’s a great reminder of how the MAF family works together across programmes.
