Africa Liberation Day is more than history — it is a reminder that the future of our continent is in our hands. From economic independence to food sovereignty, climate justice, innovation, and youth empowerment, Africa continues to rise with strength and purpose.

As we honor our past, we must also build a future rooted in unity, sustainability, and self-determination.

For the last three years, MuYI has been a proud partner oForumCiv Eastern & Southern Africa through the Wajibu Wetu Jumuika Sikika programme, implementing Sauti za Mtaa across the wider Mukuru area. Through this partnership, we have focused on empowering the community to actively engage with duty bearers and strengthen citizen participation in governance and accountability.

We are pleased to have our team represented at the close-up conference, where we had meaningful engagement with fellow partners, innovators, and changemakers working towards social transformation in their communities.

We sincerely appreciate ForumCiv for continuously believing in our work and for creating opportunities for young people to lead change, amplify community voices, and build a more active and informed society.
