Association of Charitable Children Institutions of Kenya - ACCIK We provide professional services on child care, rehabilitation, protection , reintegration, family and alternative family care

The idea of starting ACCIK was the initiative of a group of directors of Charitable Children Institutions (CCIs) in Kenya who realised the need to create a nation-wide network of CCIs in order to better manage information sharing, quality of interventions and management in CCI’s. This culminated in the formation and registration of Association of Charitable Children Institutions of Kenya (ACCIK) i

n 2009. With ERIK’s support, a secretariat was established and ACCIK began to roll out its activities from 2012. By the end of 2015, ACCIK had a total membership of 285 members in all the 47 counties of Kenya, with regional and county representatives. By 2016, the number of CCIs in the country had grown to an estimated 1,106, ACCIK, between 2016-2020 will strive to increase the membership by targeting the willing and operational CCIs that are operational and will be willing to join ACCIK.
