Today, we were privileged to host Anthony from who conducted an assessment of our organization, focusing on Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and identifying key gaps. This invaluable exercise helped refine our strategies to better align with our vision of a society where Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) fulfill their potential and live dignified lives. By identifying areas for growth, we can develop targeted strategies to close these gaps and enhance our mission to empower AGYW politically, socially, culturally, and economically, equipping them to make informed choices about their futures. With the support of partners like we continue to strengthen our impact, ensuring that AGYW have the opportunities and resources they need to thrive.

Earlier this week, we were honored to host the Oxfam team, who have been instrumental in walking with us on our journey of organizational systems strengthening. Their assessment of funding and progress in our implemented programs was helpful in gauging our overall outcomes. Their continued support motivates us to continue driving impactful change in our community and in the lives of adolescents girls and young women whom we empower to make informed choices.

This week, we had a fruitful meeting with Emerging Leaders Foundation team at our Kiambiu office where we shared insights on our work, reflection on our impact in the community and explored opportunities for collaboration to drive positive change in our community. The courtesy call allowed them to better understand the local context, community structures and the dynamics that shape women’s economic opportunities ensuring their programs are community centric, inclusive and impactful.

Almost half of all Kenyan women have faced violence in their homes. This isn’t just a family issue; it’s a national crisis. We must break the silence and stand up against domestic violence. Every woman deserves safety.

Every 10 Minutes, a Woman is Killed the 2024 theme, urges decision-makers to take action and responsibility in safeguarding women’s rights and ending gender-based violence. This violence continues to be a major obstacle to achieving gender equality, peace, development, and the full realization of women’s human rights. In Kenya, the movement is on the rise as a result of GBV. During these 16 days, we aim to create public awareness and expand collaboration with police officers, policymakers, and parliamentarians, and finding ways to work with feminist campaigners, civic organizations, and citizens in the country.
