The conversation did not end with the panel.

As adolescent sexual practices continue to evolve alongside technology, social change, and shifting economic realities, our responses must evolve too.

At our RHNK 2026 panel discussion, participants emphasized the need to:
• Strengthen comprehensive sexuality education. • Expand access to youth-friendly SRHR services. • Address misinformation online and offline.
• Meaningfully involve young people in designing policies and programs that affect their lives.

Young people are not just beneficiaries of SRHR interventions, they are experts in their own experiences and critical partners in shaping solutions.

Thank you to our panelists, moderator, keynote speaker, and participants for contributing to a rich and thought-provoking discussion.

Young people are often at the centre of conversations about “risky behaviour,” yet rarely given space to define their own experiences. From your perspective, what new sexual practices or relationship dynamics are emerging among adolescents today?

Activism is powerful—but it shouldn’t break you.
During this event, we explored what it means to fight for change and take care of ourselves.
🌱 Rest is resistance.

What happens in global spaces like the UPR doesn’t stay there, it shapes our realities.

Young people stepped into conversations on accountability, rights, and justice.

Key takeaway: Youth are not too young to influence policy, we already are.

“When young people are given power and the right platforms with intentionality, they can influence decisions.”

Week marks a powerful moment of reflection, growth, and renewed commitment as we look back on one year of the Say Yes to Youth project. Over the past year, we have empowered young people with the knowledge, skills, and platforms to advocate for their sexual and reproductive health and rights, engage in policy spaces, and build connections across regions. This week celebrates youth voices, leadership, and the impact of collective action. It is also a space to reflect on lessons learned, share experiences, and reimagine the future of youth-led advocacy together.

Today , we celebrate the dedication, courage, and compassion of midwives who stand at the heart of safe pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care.

Midwives do more than support births, they protect dignity, promote informed choice, and help ensure that women, girls, and families can access respectful sexual and reproductive health services.

This year’s call, “One Million More Midwives,” reminds us that investing in midwives means investing in healthier communities, safer motherhood, and stronger health systems.

To every midwife working in clinics, hospitals, and communities across and beyond: thank you for the lives you protect and the futures you help shape.
