On 13th June 2026, we experienced God’s love in action during our food distribution and discipleship program for widows. It was a great success — we supported 30 widows and families.

This was made possible through our ongoing support of 25 widows, and the additional help of our former volunteer who generously supported 5 families.

At present, we have another 80 widows and families supporting orphans on our waiting list, reminding us of the great need that still exists.

As we look ahead, we are calling upon friends and well-wishers to stand with us this coming Saturday, 11th July 2026, as we extend support for the month of July. Together, we can continue to be the hands and feet of Christ to those who need it most.

We are calling upon friends within Kenya to support with any available food items and be part of this great initiative. For those outside the country, you can support through our PayPal account: [email protected].

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” — James 1:27
“The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow…” — Psalm 146:9

Every act of kindness is a reflection of God’s love. Let us continue to walk in obedience to His Word, standing with widows, orphans, and vulnerable families.

Together, we can make July another testimony of God’s provision.

🚨 ONLY 3 DAYS TO GO! 🚨

This Saturday, 13th June, Fortune Learners Centre will once again be reaching out to widows and caregivers raising orphaned children in our community.

Through our current support, we have enough food for only 25 widows and their families, yet more than 80 other widows are still waiting. With just three days remaining, we are appealing to friends, well-wishers, churches, businesses, and anyone willing to help to stand with us.

If you have any food item to donate, kindly get in touch with us so that we can arrange collection before Saturday's distribution.

You can donate:

🌽 Maize flour
🍚 Rice
☕ Sugar
🫘 Beans
🛢️ Cooking oil
🥣 Any other food item

Your support will help us either increase the number of families reached or increase the quantity of food each widow receives.

Many of these widows are caring not only for themselves but also for orphaned children. For some families, the food they receive this Saturday may be the difference between going hungry and having a meal on the table.

"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done." — Proverbs 19:17

Please don't assume that your contribution is too small. One packet of maize flour, one kilogram of rice, or one litre of cooking oil can make a real difference in a family's life.

📞 To donate or arrange collection, kindly contact us on: 0727 319 278

Together, we can show God's love in action, increase the number of widows and orphan families we support, and remind them that they are not forgotten.

🙏 Thank you for standing with us and being part of this mission of hope.

Every packet counts. Every family matters. Every act of kindness makes a difference.

⏰ REMINDER: Widows Food Distribution This Saturday – 13th June

Dear friends and well-wishers,

This is a gentle reminder that this Saturday we will be reaching out to widows and caregivers raising orphaned children in our community.

At the moment, we only have enough supplies to support 25 widows, yet more than 80 others are still waiting. Your contribution can help us reach more families or increase the food package each widow receives.

You can support by donating:

🌽 Maize flour
🍚 Rice
☕ Sugar
🫘 Beans
🛢️ Cooking oil
🥣 Any other food item

Many of these families survive from one meal to the next. A simple packet of maize flour may not seem like much, but to a widow struggling to feed her children, it can mean the difference between going hungry and having a meal.

As Scripture reminds us:

"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done." — Proverbs 19:17

Please join us in showing God's love in a practical way. Every donation matters. Every packet counts. Every family reached is a testimony of hope.

Together, we can remind widows and orphans that they are not forgotten.

🙏 Thank you for standing with us.

On 27 May 2026, we shared a special moment with widows and women caring for orphans. Their smiles reminded us that even a small act of kindness can restore hope where life has been difficult.

For 15 years, Fortune Learners Centre has served orphans and vulnerable children, and one thing we have learned is that behind many of these children is a widow, grandmother, or caregiver making enormous sacrifices every day to keep them going.

Psalm 68:5 says, "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling."

Thanks to everyone who supported this initiative. Your generosity brought joy, dignity, and hope to 25 families.

We already have support in place for 25 widows and families caring for orphans during our next distribution on 13th June 2026. However, with additional food contributions, these families will receive larger quantities of food, and we will also be able to extend support to more families who are currently on our waiting list.

You do not need to give money. You can simply join us with:

🌽 A packet of maize flour
🍚 A packet of rice
☕ A packet of sugar

What may seem like a small donation can put food on a family's table, encourage a struggling widow, and give hope to children who depend on her care.

Together, we can increase the impact, reach more vulnerable families, and remind widows and orphans that they are loved, valued, and not forgotten.

Be the reason a widow smiles. Be the reason a child goes to bed with hope.

26/05/2026

Tomorrow will be a very special day for me and the entire Fortune Learners family as we gather widows from our community for a discipleship session and provide food support to them.

This event marks the culmination of the door-to-door fellowship visits we have been conducting over the past months. Through these visits, we have shared God's Word, prayed together, listened to their stories, and built meaningful relationships. Tomorrow, we will have the joy of bringing them together in one place for fellowship, encouragement, discipleship, and support.

Widows hold a special place in God's heart. Despite many challenges, they continue to demonstrate remarkable strength, faith, and resilience. God calls us to care for widows, not only through meeting physical needs but also through walking alongside them spiritually and emotionally.

At Fortune Learners, we believe that transforming lives goes beyond education. It is about building a caring community where the vulnerable are loved, valued, and empowered. As we share food and God's Word tomorrow, our prayer is that every widow will leave encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that they are not alone.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." – James 1:27

May we all continue to be the hands and feet of Christ in our communities.

Appeal for Support: Used Fortune Uniforms Needed
Dear Friends, Parents, and Supporters,

We are reaching out with a heartfelt request. Many orphans under our care are still unable to attend school because they lack uniforms. While we have tried our best to support a few, the number of children in need remains large.

🙏 If you are a former parent, guardian, or community member who has Fortune uniforms in good condition, kindly drop them at our school office. Your donation will go directly to a child who is waiting at home simply because they do not have a uniform.

Every uniform you share is more than clothing — it is a chance for a child to learn, grow, and feel included. Together, we can make a big difference.

Thank you for standing with us in this mission.
