A lot of people have come into our lives, some leave as soon as they come but there those who come and stay there forever. They are there whenever w
e need them and they contribute in a big way in making us who we are today. They make inerasable marks in our lives. It’s so hard to quantify the positive impact they have made in our lives hence it’s difficult to attach a price to what they have done to us. In this view, no material thing can be enough to pay them for the contribution they have made in our lives. It is for this reason a group of concerned friends came together to look for a way of helping people appreciate the small contribution other people have made in their lives. Since not all of us can afford to buy golden jewels to the people who have left a mark in our lives, the members thought of a simple gesture or mark that when you look at you feel happy knowing that you touched the life of another person in special way. This is why they came up with a simple blue ribbon that when worn will show the whole word that somebody somewhere appreciates you. Our Vision is for a society where everyone feels appreciated for who they are and for their positive contribution in their small ways. Our values are based on these beliefs:
The importance of having the opportunity to make a positive mark in somebody’s life. That being appreciated and accepted without prejudice can alleviate despair and low self esteem. That everyone has done something in their lives which is worth appreciation. Activities
• We are partnering with the government to help it in showing appreciation to people who have shown exemplary diligence and those who give their all in public service and making a positive impact in the society.
• We are partnering with corporate organization to help appreciate members of their staff who have made great contributions in their service.
• We are partnering with schools to help appreciate and motivate their student and members of staff who produce outstanding results in different fields. All this is done using the symbol of a simple blue ribbon. All the proceedings from these activities are used in charity and in making the society feel appreciated.
