RLN recently received accreditation by The Law Society of Kenya. This is a major milestone to RLN since now we are enabled to better practice one of our core pillars on Research and Learning through Continuous Development Programs (CPDs).

The Law Society of Kenya’s Continuous Development (CPD) program is designed to ensure that advocates in Kenya stay up to date with the latest developments in law and maintain their professional competence.

We will be coming up with various training sessions throughout the year undertaken either virtually or physically. The outcomes of these trainings will be awarding of CPD points by LSK to ensure compliance by its members.

RLN recently received accreditation by The Law Society of Kenya. This is a major milestone to RLN since now it will enable them to better practice one of their core pillars on Research and Learning through Continuous Development Programs (CPDs).

A refugee camp running on blcokchain technology. This was way back in 2018. In the end everyone's happy. Today with the new advanced technologies and more intuitive tools like FAIR, this can work well using secure Datapods.

Wishing you all the love and happiness that only Easter can bring. Have a joyous celebration with your family.

Following the Illegal Directive by the Deputy Camp Manager at Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei Settlement dated 3rd March, 2025 on instructions from the Department of Refugee Services (DRS) titled RESTRICTION/CURFEW NOTICE, Refugee Legal Networks (RLN) filed a petition on 5th March, 2025 seeking to have the impugned order lifted due to its illegality.

The High Court of Kenya on 11th March, 2025 was informed by a representative of DRS that the said directive has since been withdrawn. However, the Court directed that the Department of Refugee reply to the petition attaching the purported withdrawal. The matter has since been slated for a further mention on 24th March, 2025 for further directions. We attach the two Orders herein.

Refugee Legal Networks is commited to ensuring that the rights of refugees and asylum seekers are protected at all times.
