Kenya Green Building Society in collaboration with the State Department of Public Works is supporting the implementation of Kenyaโs National Buildings and Construction Decarbonisation Roadmap a key milestone in advancing low-carbon and climate-resilient development within the built environment sector.
The programme, supported through the Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN) under WorldGBCโs global transition roadmap initiative, aims to strengthen collaboration between government, industry, and finance to accelerate sustainable building practices and green investment mobilisation.
The roadmap represents an important shift from climate planning to practical implementation, positioning Kenya among the leading African countries driving measurable action toward building decarbonisation and resilient urban development.
As the built environment continues to play a critical role in climate action, collaborative initiatives such as this are essential in shaping sustainable, future-ready communities.
